Endometriosis Part 43 - Combined oral contraceptives and minerals As mentioned in previous articles in the last stage of the menstrual cycle normally a coating endometriosis inside the uterus is removed, known as menstrual blood, but some of endometriosis tissue grow somewhere in the body causing endometriosis. Endometriosis is also responding to hormonal signals from the monthly menstrual cycle, strengthening tissues, break it, and remove them through the menstrual period. Normally, women taking the contraceptive pill are required to take additional supplements of minerals because of bone metabolism disorders. In this article we will examine the relationship between oral contraceptive combination pills and minerals.
I. Increase intake of minerals below
1. Zinc
The oral contraceptive pills decrease blood levels lower zinc and calcium in the body causing women weaken the immune system, which hinders the growth and maintenance of muscles and loss of appetite.
2. Magnesium
oral contraceptive pill depletes magnesium in the body causing osteoporosis, muscle cramps, weakness, insomnia, anxiety and depression.
3. Calcium
A study shows that women who take oral contraceptives when peak bone mass is developing may increase the risk of osteoporosis later in life. It also shows that women using oral contraceptives and the addition of calcium in their diet gained significantly more bone mineral density in their hips and spines.
II. Reduce consumption of minerals under
1. Iron
As women take the pill, the menstrual cycle have been distorted. The reduction of blood period or no period contribute less iron loss than other women with menstruation.
2. Copper
The degree of increase of copper when women take the pill causes mood swings, behavioral disorders, depression and zinc deficiency. This type of imbalance can damage the liver if the stays extend the period of time.
3. Potassium
Some types of oral contraceptives may increase the potassium level that contribute to serious heart and health problems, especially for women with pre-existing condition, such as kidneys, liver or adrenal.
