Toddler Headache

Posted on February 1, 2010.
Toddler HeadacheToddlers with headaches.?

My son 3 1 / 2 years has epilepsy and has had a seizure last night. He woke up this morning with what I think is a pain in the head. He held his head and cry. I gave him Tylenol and he seemed to relieve the pain. But, he slept almost all day today. Suggestions?

Headaches and fatigue are common after a seizure. If it is close to normal when he woke up, I had observed. If headaches or abnormal sleepiness persists, call your doctor.

Call the doctor and he suggested that seeing a specialist like a neurologist. This is the line of neurology. I would call the doctor and tell him he had a crisis.

Call your doctor. At this age, you should at least inform the doctor after a crisis. Part of monitoring his condition is going to require the doctor to know this stuff.

Stop smoking near their screaming and yelling with your partner in front of them

Tylenol is a good thing at first, but you should at least call your pediatrician.
