prescription prenatal vitamins Tandem? Was on prenatal vitamins Stuart (TBT), but when I recently changed doctors, they gave me samples of Tandem DHA prenatal vitamins with a prescription for 12-month value. Has anyone used these? What do you think? I noticed they are a little smaller than regular prenatal, and also in the form of capsules, but as far as being "better", is there a difference? My insurance will cover the cost of the prescription, so that is not a problem, but I was just wondering is it worth to pass or it is almost the same as the OTC prenatal?
Working in tandem and for me too! The course of pills cons made me oh so badly, but the duo did not get sick at all! My OB said they are all the same, just a small difference in the chemical balance!
:-)
I could not take the blue pill, pink pill I could take the pink and purple but they help me towards the end of my pregnancy does not know what colors have to do with it, but they were both in tandem
My doctor prescribed Tandem for me with my first pregnacy because the OTC vitamins hurt my heart. I loved them, had no problems with them.
Prenatal prescription of DHA are not the same as over the counter prenatal. They are better. They contain more vitamins and most OTC prenatals not DHA, they have extra folic acid and other essential vitamins.
Stick to the prescription of your doctor gave you. I have not heard of them in particular, but Rx are better than OTC.
I assure you that doctors are co-hoots with the pharmaceutical companies! I used prenatal vitamins that I bought at Costco and I like a $ 10 thousand. Then the doc prescribes his own, but I continued to use the ones I bought. The doc said it was fine. They all basically the same thing in them, and as long as you take one, you'll be fine.
I tried them and could not take them. They gave me really bad heartburn. Maybe was just me. I am now taking Duet DHA they work hard.
I am 7 months pregnant and I started on OTC prenatal vitamins, and they were gone when my doc prescribed me Tandem DHA, and I noticed that my nails and hair started to grow much faster and j have had much more energy, I have not had any problems with them, and the generic version smells like chocolate,,, lol, certainly does with pregnancy in mind.
Look at the ingredient list for both, chances are they are exactly the same thing packaged differently or RX are "extended release" or something vaguely "better". OTC prenatal perfectly well, they are not on the shelves, if not (we have this little known FDA and they are notoriously difficult).
