Can you name some sources of vitamin D? What is it good? There is great interest in vitamin D at the moment, and the researchers suggest that half of our population is deficient. Do you know how the body uses it and where you can get some?
Vitamin D helps the body's absorption of calcium.
Eat cheese and other dairy products. Also, daily exposure to natural light will help.
A personal note: This research should suggest that all food establishments will be closed. How can a country with a cheese burger and fries economy have so much weight and more people in poor health.
Milk, fish, cheese, mushrooms (especially shiitake) and expose your skin to the sun.
Vitamin D helps calcium absorption.
Edit: The mushrooms contain vitamin D than if they were exposed to ultraviolet light for several minutes. Most cultivated mushrooms are grown in the dark. Expose store-bought mushrooms in the sun for 10 minutes just before cooking to get the vitamin. This was discovered some months ago.
