Progreens

ProgreensEnviro / Suggestions Progreen?

Does anyone have any ideas that might help me to continue my personal revolution on the green. In a few weeks I will start giving up meat, but I have to keep milk in my diet because I am a mere 95 pounds, which is small for my age (15 lessons of 16) am I really for the environment and the whole affair ProGreen. I like the change because it keeps my mind focused. I DONT litter, I try to pick up trash when I see it and everything. But can I suggest ideas for food and Progreens like me? Like tofu, or ideas such as recycling? Does anyone know of groups who do environmental work for cancer or something like that? Please help!

It is really great that you're so concerned about the environment. Stop a moment and think about the good environment in your home. Do you know that the air in your home can be more polluted than outdoor air? We use products every day that are full of toxins and the VOC waste gas in our homes air tight all day and night. This toxic brew our domestic tax system and immune diseases is happening, including cancer. We can change that.

recycle and encourage your family / friends
if the distance and time permits, walk places instead of driving

recycle, bike more, carpool, take a bus, and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Always go for something that you can reuse rather than something disposable. vegetables are best for you and the environment, and technically vegan or vegetarian diets are greener. As for milk, you can get as much calcium from soy milk, broccoli (steamed), and kale (steamed). Even if you are not even going to be vegetarian, vegan cookbooks offer plenty of good ideas for healthy eating and creatively, without the use of products of animal origin, which is better for the environment and you (but you can always be in perfect health only eat meat in excess). And be ready for people to condemn your beliefs by saying things like "a person does not make a difference." A good answer is "unless I try." You might enjoy the book Ishmael by Daniel Quinn well.

Planting a garden of your home can be very beneficial for your effort. Not only will you help the environment, but you know exactly where your vegetables have been and be sure that no pesticides / chemicals were used. rainwater catch in buckets to water your garden, as tap water contains things that may shock your plants. If you have no ground for a garden, consider growing in containers, or gardening in flowerpots. There is a wealth of information on the Internet on container gardening and you might even consider composting your kitchen scraps. This returns the remains of the Earth to the culture of the future and also reduces the amount of waste in landfills. Also a note on the side, soy milk, I noticed that someone else talk. A society soy milk, silk, use something other than wind energy to produce their product. I want to support companies that have made efforts to become greener in their manufacture.

One of my favorite ways to prepare tofu, marinade it in soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, cumin and a bit for about 30 minutes before the fry with vegetables. This gives the kind of Mexican flavor tofu meat.

Good luck, I think its great for someone your age to develop a green lifestyle!

For one thing, do not let your family down if they do not agree with your shift towards green-hood! There are a ton of things you can do, but many of them require that members of your family to adopt the same habits.

- Invest in microfiber towels, cloth napkins and handkerchiefs instead of paper napkins, paper towels, and Kleenex (100% cotton fabrics are earth friendly, too).
- Eat soy products fortified.
-Buy organic and support your local Farme.
