What is the difference between PB2 peanut butter powder and defatted peanut flour? Is this the same thing, and can it be used in the same way?
I researched the same and this is what I learned:
- PB2 contains sugar and salt, plus defatted peanuts.
- Peanut flour comes in a fat-defattedness many levels - anything from 40% to 100%. PB2 is about 23% fat.
- A person who claims to be a registered dietitian who has both PB2 and defatted peanut flour, they are not the same. She / he prefers to use for PB2 peanut butter typical uses.
Hope that helped!
