Normal Ferritin Levels

Im currently on treatment of viral compound ribavivarin and interferon, which has stripped some of the red blood of my system, production of red blood cells increased (to compensate, I suppose), but a recent check shows ferritin iron levels high (almost doubled), while iron levels stay normal ... is this due to a body for cycling increased production of red blood cells?

High ferritin levels may indicate iron overload. iron in the hemoglobin of red blood cells behind, even after the cells are destroyed. Are you currently under treatment of iron? I would suggest a consultation with a hematologist or other specialist as suggested by your doctor. I would definitely go for second opinion. I'm not familiar with interferon and other antiviral treatments, it might just be a normal thing. I would like to check.
