Neo Synephrine

Posted on February 22, 2010.
Neo SynephrineNeo-synephrine that make my nasal congestion worse if I continue to use it?

I use Neo-Synephrine nasal spray for my stuffy nose for days, but the label says that if I continue to use it, it can cause my symptoms to worsen. But its really the only thing that helps! This is the only way I am able to breathe at night. Without it, I can not sleep! What should I do?

Yes it is. Using it too often can cause something called a "rebound" effect. It will backfire. Ask your doctor or pharmacist would be a good substitute effective.
God bless you.

Yes, the continued use of nasal decongestants can cause an effect "bounce" in which, after you have used too much, they will only temporarily reduce the swelling in the nasal passages reproduced, then the swelling worse than before.

To avoid this, use the neo-synaphrine for 3 days, then use a saline nasal spray for three days. You will not get good benefits by salt spray (often sold as Ocean Spray, but available in generic cheap). Meanwhile, use an oral decongestant. I always got the best results of Sudafed (pseudoephedrine availablee generic). In most states you must be 18 years old and have photo identification to buy it because it is the main ingredient in methamphetamine, but it is not itself addictive. After three days of rest, you can resume the neo-synephrine for three days, but it is best never to use more than three days at a time, and never more often than the label suggests. I also suggest you have 12 hours Sudafed (or generic) so that all last night. If you choose another oral medication to use during your leave of neo-synephedrine, make sure he is a decongestant

You can go to the doctor and he can give you a script for a nasal spray or yu can buy a saline solution - you do not need a script, you can buy over the counter and use it as much times a day you need too.
Hope that helped.

Yes, you need a steroid nasal spray
