Morning After Pill And Antibiotics

Posted on March 7, 2010.
Morning After Pill And AntibioticsMorning After Pill + Antibiotics help!?

I'm due to start a course of antibiotics (2x 1 tablet dose for three days - stuff so loudly) tomorrow morning.
But I had sex a few hours ago and only now are realizing that the division of the condom and semen actually inside me.

I really need to get the morning after pill to stop the chances of pregnancy occurring, however I need to start over antibiotics.

What should I do?!?!

Antibiotics only affect the part of the contraceptive pill estrogen, decreasing efficiency. Since the morning after pill is a progestin alone, there is no interaction. Get and take the MAP as soon as possible and take the andibiotics as indicated.

I can not tell you what you should do in this situation. Antibiotics can reduce the effects of the morning "morning after" pill. Looks like you are very concerned about a possible pregnancy, then I would just take the two together. The only interaction is that possible decreased effect of the pill Plan B. You definitely need to start courses of antibiotics if.

When u go to the pharmacy to get it, they will ask u questions, SO Get Into It tomoro the first thing they'll tell u if ur able to take two tablets u answer questions in confidence, everything is OK, but make sure its ASAP, in the end Tho these tablets unless absolutely essential that they r r more important than having a child then, u shud just stay away one day and start in tomoro according to what they say, just Tho Panic, theres a lot of help. x

get the morning after pill as soon as possible and when you make your local emergency room / pharmacy make sure you ask whether or not antibiotics do not affect. If yes, what would you rather do? Knocked Up or get sick a little longer!

the morning after pill is negatively affected by antibiotics

you need to talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
