What cons migraine medication is best for you? Just a list of cocktails, I was on everything I've ever heard or read something and I wonder if there is something I have not heard.
I tried a ton of drugs and have been a number of doctors including neurologists, chiropractors and physiotherapists.
Right now I'm verapamil, which works hard.
Some prescription drugs, I have tried ibuprofen, ALEVE (naproxen), Excedrin, Tylenol, citrate, magnesium and vitamin B2 (riboflavin).
Prescription drugs that I tried are verapamil, amitriptyline, fioricet, midrin, naproxen, maxalt, Toradol (ketoralac), zolmitriptan (Zomig) and others.
If you suffer from migraines I strongly suggest you consult with a neurologist. Mine helped me a lot!
Good luck to you! I know how much he can do!
Currently, Keppra to prevent them, and then either naproxen, Esgic-plus Etodolac or treat them if they are light. When really bad shots of Toradol, barbiturates, narcotics and help. I also tried Verapiamil, Elavil, Topamax Zonisamede and to prevent them, all of which were unnecessary. My doctor has recently spoken of IV steroids to stop them, but I have not tried. Imitrex and Maxalt has no effect on me, but I think he just needs to be the class of drugs. Honestly, I do not think Advil or low doses of prescription drugs will relieve all the pain of migraine disorder real and they are certainly not useful for other problems associated with migraine.
I suffered from migraines most of my adult life - I finally saw a doctor and he prescribed me Maxalt - it works ...
If you really suffer from migraine no on prescription drugs to help you. Call your doctor.
Aleve Liquid Gels. work best for anything, and fast because it not only a liquid and pill.
You may get rebound headaches to all different types of medicine.
Hope this helps (:
