What it's like to take the abortion pill Mifeprex (Mifepristone)? I plan to take the abortion pill, but I am scared and panicked some of the stories I read online about it. Has anyone taken and what were your experiences? Have you had nausea or feeling strange as dizziness or chest pain? I have heard of rare side effects in some women and that scares me.
For those who read this and are pro-life, please do not waste your time preaching one of your propaganda brainwashing to me. We all know that at the beginning of pregnancy, it is not even considered a fetus and is not self-aware, nor has it any sense.
Cost: I paid $ 500 a few days ago to family planning. This includes ultrasound, blood tests, all treatments, pills, and, in rare cases the pill does not work, the regular cost of an abortion (if you do not have to pay anything if the pill fails, which rarely happens).
I read a lot of scary information on the Internet, and he freaked out about the pill. People say they have experienced the worst pain of their lives! I was very scared when I finally took, but here's how it happened:
12:30 - anti nausea pill
1-13h30 - four misoprostol pills
1:35 p.m. - vomit, then took Vicodin after I started to feel some pain
13h50 - vomited again, the pain almost the same, but now even more afraid of what I had read online, especially since I was afraid I would vomit most of Vicodin. Took ibuprofen.
14:00 - cramps, the same as a heavy period, in waves of 30 seconds. I lay on his stomach on a hot block, and without moving I felt no more nausea, and cramps are very reasonable (4 / 10 on a pain scale)
14:30 - cramping continues, go to the bathroom, no bleeding at all in maxipad yet, but bleeding into the toilet (less than a normal period). Two other ibuprofen, things will get worse fear. I went to lie down.
14:50 - All stops cramps. I'm confused. Where everyone has talked about the pain? Where are the bleeding?!?
15:00 - Go to the bathroom, no blood in maxipads, but I lost two large clots in the toilet. No pain whatsoever.
The end. Some light bleeding in the bathroom was for some time after this, but basically I had cramps regularly for an hour, a period without severe hemorrhage, and abortion was all over!
I'm sure this is not the same for all women, and I'm sure some reports of extreme pain to be true, but for me it was not bad at all. I wanted to put this information and put it out there for all women who are scared after reading all the stories the worst-case scenario. I wonder even now if some of these "experiments" were just made by anti-abortion? These reports are certainly quite unlike the experience very quickly that I had.
Ultimately, the most unpleasant of abortion was the fear I felt as a result of posting alarmist concern (and perhaps false) reports on the abortion pill on the Internet.
Some extra info, in case it helps: I'm in my 20's, never been pregnant, and I was 6 weeks and 4 days of the first day of my last period (ie approximately four weeks pregnant, 6 weeks Planned Parenthood uses the method to determine if you can take the pill). I have normal periods. I would also add, for those who are interested, that physicians in family planning said that the worst pain, and even abortions to begin the first pill before misoprostol, especially among girls extremely skinny (which I'm not). Not sure why.
Why not just have an abortion regular? The information I have just read about it is scary.
