Littman StethoscopeLittman stethoscope?

Hello,
I am currently looking for a stethoscope to my boyfreind. he would donate if I want something that will have for some time .. and is also on the seas, so something that is not that expensive, even if it is lost .. I thought Littman Stethoscope 3000 .. someone has been good or bad experince with it?
Please let me know.
Thank you.

Hello,

I am an RN and have used Littman stethoscopes and loves. I have not used this model.

I just watched the 3000. It seems really nice.

I am a little old school, so wonder if the use of a battery that is really necessary to amplify the noise. This could be a bit of advertising. I think it would still work if the battery goes out, but not completely sure.

I like the versatility for all types of patients. I wonder, however, how this would work on all types if the battery off. Would it then as a stethoscope for adults only?

Health professionals are busy, and even if it takes 200 hours of use before the battery goes out, it would take 16 posts for a nurse 12 hours before the battery goes out. It may be difficult to remember to replace it.

A couple of questions I would ask a dealer:

1. Is it automatically shut off or is it constantly running? I might be interested if it runs continuously and does not stop on its own ... dead battery causes.
2. Is the diaphragm also serve as a bell (most cardiology stethoscopes have a bell was built, but always ask)
3. How does it work when the battery goes out? T it work like a stethoscope for adult? I would worry if it does not work without the battery - could be a matter of patient safety.

I just want to make sure you have the "Smart Shopper" reflection on new technologies. Although I'm quite, I think what you are getting into before making such a big purchase. I think it could really help you.

If you're not a cardiologist, a pediatrician or a specialist in geriatrics, it is very unlikely that you never benefit from having more of a base, a solid stethoscope. A high quality stethoscope still requires highly trained ear and a thorough understanding of the physiology and pathology of heart sounds to detect dark - an internist or family doctor is unlikely to detect anything other than the obvious problems, even with a great stethoscope. That being said, I would not recommend spending more than $ 100 - $ 200 on a stethoscope.

On the other hand, if a medical student or medical resident, it may be useful to get better because they are trying to get as much experience as possible in a short period of time, so that they can actually get some benefit from a stethoscope premium, especially if they are thinking of going into one of those specialties that need it later.

It is used by doctors. Its great.

I used one when I was on the Littman fire department and is probably the best brand on the market. Not only will they replace, without charge if something happens, but you do not get the echo effect, like you with the cheaper brands.

Personally, I do not like the way I like the Littman Ultrascope. I can not hear anything. You can create your own design just for him. Jump to ultrascpoe.com they are great I love mine.

My stethoscope is a model with two tubes without a brand name that sells for about $ 30. The style I use breath actually pick-up sounds better than would Littman. My mother has a Littman stethoscope and inexpensive as mine. She uses her model cheap labor so that she can hear what is happening in his patients.

There are many varieties of cheap glasses with two tubes available in the store uniform. They are about $ 30 and accessory stores usually stock as small LED lights or tube covers ..
