Can you please find me a Web page that contains a list of antidepressants that lead to suicidal thoughts? My brother had to go to the hospital by ambulance for a nervous break down to midnight last night ... It was so scary. As it seemed as scary as one of those stupid exorcisms on TV. But yeah anyway .. Could you please find me a list of antidepressants that cause suicidal thoughts or something like that? Because if her psychiatrist prescribed antidepressants of my parents told me they will not let her do.
Thank you ...
Oh, and have been in Quebec, Canada if it does not matter at all ... like idk if some drugs arent allowed to come to Quebec ... im only 14 after all. just in case
Absolutely all anti-depressants can cause suicidal thoughts or tendencies. These trends are much more frequent when the patient is misdiagnosed and was suffering from bipolar disorder (anti-depressants that affect the levels of adrenaline in the brains of bipolar patients is a bad thing unless used in conjunction with a stabilizer mood as lithium or Lamictal).
All medications given to your brother warrants close monitoring, if possible, with his previous experience with anti-depressants. Watch for signs, including (without limitation): insomnia or excessive sleeping, withdrawal from normal activities, the choice of being alone more than usual, stowage for reasons apparently minimal, reckless behavior , feelings of grandeur (the feeling he can do something or is invincible), and giving away personal items, with or without the elements that are of value or significance for him ( a sign of an imminent suicide attempt).

Most, if not all antidepressants can lead to suicidal thoughts.
This is something where you have to weigh the risks. Your brother is a greater risk to himself without them, or is there a higher risk of those.
It seems that if your brother has problems, e is the source of problems in which it must be admitted, then there is a greater risk to himself. When, with the help of an antidepressant, it can feel better. Although sometimes they can make him feel worse, in which case you will notice that and medicines will be changed. This trial and error, but in time you and your brother feel better. Sometimes they hit the nail on the head the first time they "try" something, it sometimes takes a few.
Antidepressants all risks, like any drug does.
Since your 14 I'll try to put this in a way you could understand.
When you get a cold, dr. will put you on medication to get better. It takes time for your cold go away, if your cold does not go away, then they could try another drug. But you do end up being better with the help of something. If you do not take the medication prescribed for you, then there is a chance you might get worse.
So ask yourself ...
What will happen to your brother, if he does not take drugs, and there is worse?
What will happen the next time he has a nervous break down?
What could benefit from taking drugs?
All antidepressants have the potential to cause suicidal thoughts ..... Therefore we must be alert to changes in someone who has just started taking them. Each person is diifferent well. I'm suicidal, Seroquel, but thousands of people see no problem ....... I take Geodon without any problem, but it may cause suicidal thoughts in some people ..... You try one and then watch the side effects, if the depression worsens, you have to stop that one and try another ......
I hope your brother is ok.
