I have Norton protection, but it will expire in three days, and I hear there

Kasperski has only one download free range but they offer a line flicker, only that you can use at any time.
According to the latest AV Comparatives tests, (known world of independent testing laboratories anti-virus), Kasperski was not very good at all. In fact, it has not done very well over the last two years. (I give you a link to check for yourself). If your only an average user, I would say get a very good free anti-virus programs, which offer real-time protection (always running in the background). As you will see from the AV comparitie site, it is a free program (the one I used last year) called Avast!. He beat Kasperski and Norton in the trials of recent years. It is considered one of the best programs, free or pay. The free version uses the same scan engine and virus definitions as the paid version. The different in the features, no protection.
Avast! 4.8 Home Edition with a good anti-spyware program (I suggest SUPERAntiSpyware) and a good 2 way firewall (COMODO), your system should be solid as a rock in protection.
