What is the difference between barrier methods and methods of hormonal contraception? barrier is something used to keep sperm from entering the opening of the cervix.
some are: condoms and diaphragms
hormonal means that your method of choice will give you hormones to change the time of ovulation and the wall of the uterus. and yes this is only for women.
Some are pills, Depo-Provera (the shot), the patch and Nuva ring.
barrier methods provide a physical barrier between sperm and egg literal, eg a diaphragm and condoms
hormonal methods are those that actually affect your body and manufactured products, for example, the pill does prevent ovulation (egg release), so that even if u do cum "up there", he has nothing to fertilize and just die
