Dry Skin Cream

Well, I'm 15 and have had eczema all my life. I had to find a cheap alternative to keep my skin moist, so I use Equate Dry Skin Cream. Saw the ingredients and it has petroleum in it and I was wondering if it is really make my skin even drier before?? Because my legs are incredibly dry over a year ago when I was not use anything on my legs. And if he does, does anyone have a low cost alternative to use?
