How did you know your cat is recovering from a urinary tract infection? my male cat (about 2 years) acted contrary to himself and to pee in strange places. sank slowly. very lethargic and not in its normal state (which is busy and hyper). I took him to the vet. the doctor who could hardly be closer to my cat because he was hissing and swatting him, took a small sample of urine and it started on antibiotics and the C / D dry food for a urinary tract infection (also says he may be a blockage of crystal, offering surgery for a nice price expensive). they gave many antibiotics and drugs (clavamox, meta cam, dantrolene). for about 10 days (for another expense impressive)
I started my cat on drugs yesterday at 10:00 and the measure has had four doses of dantrolene and clavamox 2 cam meta. He began to regain its characteristics brave but I have not seen a lot of urine or feces. it is still dripping in his litter but I have not been able to find all the areas it "drop" his stomach does not feel as strong, but it is much more flexible jumping and moving with less pain.
he is always eating and drinking, but a little less than usual.
Does this mean he is getting better? or should it be more frequent pee in his litter? Should I see more effects of the medicine? I'm glad to see him return to himself, I just want to make sure I do enough for him. I am also obligated to a small newspaper and in contact with the clinic on a regular basis. if anyone has any help would be greatly appreciated!
im guessing you had a UTI in the past also, when its bad it takes time to heal to try, as women with cranberry juice or concentrate a few drops on the tongue a few times a day with her so he atibiotics Healing is not worry if less is inside the box, but not at all if blood is present or cat is crying still in pain two days to return to VET, as u can massage the whistle on bladder navel down through the line of the rectum you feel small balls about the size of peas, each side massage this area one day a few times too .. It also helps relieve hot water put his feet in the bowl like a woman or even wiping it with a hot towel to help his stimulating urine b; adder is a bit crippled at the moment is a bit like if its response body says stop, so he does. Is it resolved? otherwise it needs to be men in general get so intact, if more food flueds greener more excersise, you must remain active healthy cat employed labor kittyi cannot type good, but hope this helps if it comes looking for s ensure that other cats Arent around, he could get a std FRO else can, while intact, reallythough lol.
This may take several days to really respond to antibiotics and new foods. While he does not get worse ... back to the way it was when you brought him to the vet (he would need a recheck ASAP, just to make sure it is actually passing urine and it has not blocked), then you should see him return to his old self in a week or two.
A cat recovering from a urinary tract infection may experience a burning sensation when urinating, their lining is inflamed bladder, and urethra may be too much (to lick and effort) ... As long as he is urinating once or twice a day ... what is good. They hold their bladder, because they know it hurts to go, so sometimes you see them go 1-2-3 times a day, but in large puddles, until they feel better.
"If you keep a good eye on his behavior, you will know if he returns. The scratching of the litter and the number of squats unproductive, is a red flag. It should produce something when squatting ... If nothing, then it is blocked and has a medical emergency.
