Different types of cake recipes to make for any occasion One of our favorite candy seems to be Brownies. Whether you like plain ice cream, chocolate, layered, as the basis for an ice cream, snack or dessert novelty, the humble brownie is always welcome. Add these to your file brownie recipes, ice and Heavenly Brownies Brownies with apricots.
ICED BROWNIES
1 1 / 2 cups all purpose flour
1 / 2 cup cocoa
1 tsp teaspoon baking powder
1 tsp tsp salt
2 / 3 cup canola oil
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with an inch of vegetable oil cooking spray and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, beat sugar, oil and eggs. In another bowl, mix flour with salt, baking powder and cocoa, stir to mix well. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture, mix well and add vanilla. Stir in walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 25-27 minutes at 350 degrees.
Frosting:
3-4 v. tablespoons milk
1 stick butter
pinch salt
1 / 4 cup cocoa
powdered sugar
In a saucepan, melt the butter with the milk. Add salt and cocoa and stir over the heat until well blended. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add powdered sugar to make a good frosting consistency spread thin. Pour over cooled brownies and spread to cover. Garnish with mini chocolate chips, if desired.
HEAVENLY BROWNIES APRICOT
2 bars (2-oz each chocolate) white baking
1 / 3 cup butter
1 / 2 cup of packed brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 / 4 c. Tea Vanilla extract
3 / 4 cup all-purpose flour
1 / 2 c. baking powder
1 / 4 c. salt
1 cup dried apricots, chopped finely
1 / 4 cup slivered almonds
1 / 4 cup coconut flakes
In a saucepan, melt white chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in chocolate mixture. Mix apricots, almonds and coconut and mix half the mixture into the dough. Pour into ungreased 9-inch square pan. Sprinkle remaining apricot mixture on top of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
