Recipes without gluten (celiac disease)? Looking for something good / easy dessert recipes that are gluten free. My sister-in-law has celiac disease and I am in charge of Christmas desserts. I thought it would be nice if I did something she could eat too! Thank you in advance!
We have special needs due to food allergies in our family as well and it can become quite complicated. I use the recipes on the following sites:

You can also visit www.glutenfreemall.com to buy.
you must be willing to buy all new flours and grains, which now days is not great, most supermarkets carry flour, rice flour, corn flour, millet and others. If you visit the website below, they offer lots of recipes that meet celiac disease and if you live near a Whole Foods Market is even better because they also carry all the ingredients and even pre-mixes that you basically just milk and eggs! Hope this helps.
Knowing you (I'm with my husband and too much of his family have celiac disease as well) here are some web site with recipes just for those who have a gluten free diet.

Since you're not cooking for you, I should go for a mix rather than a recipe.
Keep in mind that you can not use wooden spoons, cutting boards (etc) for cooking without gluten that have been used for cooking without gluten. Gluten sticks in every corner he can get. So just keep that in mind. baking sheets / pans can be coated with a layer or two of leaves and they will be well. Also, make sure your hands are washed and you do not touch gluten at the same time, you touch everything to bake gluten-free.
It seems strange and more up-but it is honest to God truth that you must take that penalty. Many people with celiac disease do not discuss this aspect of the gluten-free diet because it sounds so weird. It is not that difficult though. Just do not use wooden utensils and wash what you use and dry with a clean towel, cover your pan with a couple layers of foil and you're good to go. I used to be the only person without gluten in my house and I used to do things for my husband all the time. No biggie if you know how to approach it. Repost if you need extra help or guidance, or have any questions.
So anyway the food!
In most health stores and food they carry the brand of products and Pamela Gluten-Free Pantry.
If you can find Gluten-Free Pantry's Chocolate Truffle Brownie Mix, it is really good. Even members of my family not gluten-free and as he ate over the last time I brought it to a function of the family. I put the rest of the dessert and is eaten at the same speed as the rest of them (I take some in a separate container for my children and myself, and put the rest to be shared). If you use this mixture, place the dish with you because your SIL can not believe they are GF.
If you can find cooking Pamela and pancake mix, there is a recipe on the back for the chocolate chip cookies which is always good. And you can give the rest of the package of pancake mix that are really good too.
