Hello Shawney. A person who is anorexic or bulimic can become really sick .... to a point where the heart is not working properly. Due to poor nutrition of the hair and skin becomes very dry. My sister was bulimic for many years. What I learned is that people with bulimia have a mental illness, they see themselves as fat, although bone / lean. It is very important that your friend seek professional help. The sooner it gets, the more it will feel better. Sometimes, these diseases are caused by anxiety. Argentox2@yahoo.com
