Allergies in dogs?? Can you help me? (Changing the question)? I had problems with allergies in two dogs. I have been to 3 different Vets-no solution. used steroids, dips, allergen-free diets, and the counter antihistamines. Sometimes when I go it seems to me some food for short-term relief after a week or two, but the return of allergies before you finish the bag (2-3 weeks). foods such as; Calif.Nat, canadae, natural ball ... Top rated no junk food. Otc antihistamines seem to help a little, tavest works best.

My dog has the same problem. We went veterinarians when she was 4 or more and our current vet is doing rather well with helping her. My dog is a Jack Russell Terrier, 12 years old, blind, and the vet thinks she is allergic to corn. Then he changed his diet several times, and his current food (Hill's Prescription D / D Potato and Veinson) works great for her! The veterinarian has also changed his medication a lot. She is currently Prednisilone (mg very low because it is his pee a lot if it has a high mg), she takes this once a day, Atarax, hydroxyzine (she takes the morning and evening)
3V-Caps (for its skin and coat, to help her because she chews on her legs, ext.She this morning and night too.) And the last med. She is on medication are Paw wipes (I think they are called pledgets), she gets this night. All this combined is helping, she does not chew on his legs or do things like that much less. Hope this info. Help! Good luck!

Have you cleaned your house? Dust or pollen, or even you may be an allergy to dog.
I have a mini schnauzer who has skin allergies, if he gets the smallest number of people food, he began pulling his hair. if you give your dog people food stop. You can also try benedryl. Sometimes I give my dog a friend and he gives his Scottish terrier for allergies. Children are not adults. If you have a very good vet maybe they can tell you thedosage to give your dog. Hope this helps
They could be allergic to something in your house. Try changing the types of cleaners you use in your home. If they sleep on your bed or something, then change the detergent and fabric softener ... etc. Hope this helps a bit! Please tell them I said hello!
Clean your pets ok
The flea powder made my chihuahua spotted with red rash! The vet told me he was allergic to it. Whatever the form of powder, like powdered flea, dog dry shampoo can cause allergic reactions.
